America is absolutely bump-crazy, and Taylor Swift is leading the pack.
In a new study, researchers found that Swift is the most Googled celebrity when it comes to baby bump speculation, pulling in a whopping 1,410 average monthly searches across the U.S.
But the kicker is that there’s been zero official pregnancy announcement from Taylor Swift.
The study, conducted by Dallas-based fashion brand Terry Costa, analyzed U.S. search volumes over the past year using SEMRush Explorer to determine which celebs have fans furiously Googling “baby bump” updates.
Spoiler alert: the Swifties clearly aren’t shy about wondering if a mini Tay is on the way.
Beyoncécame in hot at No. 2 with 1,160 monthly searches. No surprise there because Queen Bey famously broke the internet with her 2017 pregnancy reveal, which remains one of Instagram’s most-liked posts ever.
Landing third is Ashanti, snagging 590 monthly searches.
A spokesperson for Terry Costa weighed in on the findings, telling Pecohub, “The study reveals that Taylor Swift, Beyoncé, and Ashanti are some of the celebrities dominating the baby bump searches among Americans.”
“These search trends highlight how celebrities’ personal lives generate significant public interest, often rivaling attention given to their professional achievements,” they added. “The substantial search volumes across various celebrities demonstrate how pregnancy speculation has become a major component of celebrity culture in the digital age.”
Rounding out the top five were Hailey Bieber (360 monthly searches) and Ella Mai (320 searches). Fans constantly speculate if Hailey and Justin Bieber are ready to add another little one to their family.
At the same time, Ella Mai, who welcomed her first child last year, has an ultra-private personal life, which only fuels the curiosity.
