The Nigerian Aviation Handling Company Plc (NAHCO Aviance) has signed new ground handling contracts with five airlines, further strengthening its position as Nigeria’s leading aviation solutions provider.

According to a statement released by the company during the week, the new agreements include a five-year contract with Royal Air Maroc for cargo freighter and warehousing services in Lagos and Abuja.

The deal complements an existing handling contract NAHCO already has with the Moroccan airline covering other operational areas in Nigeria.

NAHCO also renewed its long-standing partnership with Kenya Airways with a new five-year agreement covering passenger and cargo operations across Nigeria.

A three-year contract was finalised with Dornier Aviation for passenger handling services at Lagos, Port Harcourt, Abuja, Osubi, and other airports nationwide.

New domestic carrier, Enugu Air, signed a five-year agreement with NAHCO for passenger operations at all its service locations nationwide.

Additionally, Cronos Airline renewed its partnership with NAHCO for another three years. The deal covers passenger flight handling in Lagos and Port Harcourt.

The statement said the wave of new and renewed contracts reflects the continued confidence of both international and domestic carriers in the company’s ground handling expertise.

Earlier in the year, NAHCO also secured agreements with regional operators Afrijet and Air Sierra Leone, further expanding its regional footprint.

Group Executive Director, Commercial and Business Development, Saheed Lasisi, described the new contracts as mutually beneficial.

“When the client’s aircraft is on ground, there is just one company that can take care of its operations like her very own — that company is NAHCO,” he said.

Group Managing Director, Mr Olumuyiwa Olumekun, hailed the development as a sign of greater prospects for the company and reaffirmed NAHCO’s commitment to continuous operational improvement.
