Ye went on a lengthy X/Twitter rant Thursday night into early Friday (Feb. 7) morning, centered on his support for Sean “Diddy” Combs, who is currently charged with racketeering conspiracy; sex trafficking by force, fraud, or coercion; and transportation to engage in prostitution.
He also touched on several other takes, including doubling down on his belief that “slavery was a choice” and calling out “Kamala d**k riders” for questioning his controversial statements.
The artist formerly known as Kanye West began the rant with “FREE PUFF” before calling out Diddy’s celebrity friends who refuse to publicly defend him amid his legal woes, calling them “puy.” He then calls himself a “puy” for not defending Chris Brown amid backlash for abusing Rihanna in 2009.
Ye goes on to call Diddy his “idol” and say he’s unafraid to speak his mind because he’s already been “cancelled” and is still thriving. “WHAT YALL GONE DO? CANCEL MY SNEAKER DEAL, CANCEL MY RECORD DEAL, FREEZE MY ACCOUNTS, F**K ALL YALL NI**AS, SLAVERY IS A CHOICE, IM SPEAKING MY MIND NOW I AINT EDITING SHIT AGAIN EVER.”
“ALL YOU PLEEEEEASE COME AT ME, THATS HOW WE SPOT THE KOONS, LET THESE WHITE PEOPLE AND JEWISH PEOPLE TELL YOU WHAT TO DO AND SAY FK DIAGEO AND FK ALL YALL NI**AS IN ADVANCE.”
Ye also announced a Yeezy/ Sean John collaboration, available on Yeezy.com, adding that he and Puff will split the profits 50/50, with Puff’s son, Justin, holding on to his father’s half for the time being.
He also acknowledged that he and Puff previously bumped heads, but also believes Diddy is being dragged through the mud to “scare ni**as.”
