A$AP Rocky is choosing to opt out of the witness dock amid his ongoing court case for reasons best known to him.
The rapper was spotted sitting outside the stand during court proceedings, showing that he would not be testifying in his shooting trial involving his childhood friend A$AP Relli.
A$AP Rocky allegedly fired a gun at A$AP Relli during an argument back in 2021 in Los Angeles, leading to injuries.
The rapper confirmed his intentions to stay tight-lipped in the case on Tuesday when he waived his right to testify before a court. The presiding judge also asked his attorney Joe Tacopina if they had come to a conclusion after a series of back and forth over it earlier this week.
The judge pressed the artist if he was aware of what was at stake following his decision to step aside from giving any testimony. The rapper was reportedly confident in his response, echoing, “I do, in fact.”
Since the case began, TMZ noted that every day has witnessed development, including a scenario of Rocky telling his friend A$AP Twelvy not to respond when he was asked to explain what the AWGE brand name meant.
The legal exchange reached a peak last Wednesday when jurors discovered new sets of screenshots of a heated interaction over the phone between Rocky and his friend.
