Enugu Rangers head Coach, Abdul Maikaba has moved his attention from the NPFL to the Federation Cup as the regular season came to an end over the weekend.

The Flying Antelopes barely avoided getting relegated this season as they were only two points above Wikki Tourists.

Rangers were able to grind a 1-1 draw against defending champions, Rivers United, in what had been a difficult league campaign for them.

On Wednesday at the Stephen Keshi Stadium in Asaba, Maikaba’s team will compete in the Round of 16 of the Federation Cup against FC Ebedei.

“We thank God for a successful season in the Nigeria Premier Football League,” he stated. “Let’s focus on doing well against FC Ebedei in the round of 16 in Asaba.”

“The Federation Cup is our target no doubt and we wish to win it.”
