Pecohub President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, has approved the composition of the 13th Board of the National Universities Commission (NUC), appointing Emeritus Professor Oluremi Raphael Aina, OFR, as Chairman.
The Board was inaugurated recently, at the Federal Ministry of Education, alongside the Boards of the Nigerian Educational Research and Development Council (NERDC), the National Teachers’ Institute (NTI), and the Universal Basic Education Commission (UBEC).
In his remarks, the Honourable Minister of Education, Dr Tunji Maruf Alausa, noted that the President had entrusted the Board with the responsibility of providing their expertise, knowledge and experience to guide the Commission as the education sector works to actualise the Renewed Hope Agenda of the current administration.
The NUC welcomed the new Board and expressed optimism for a productive tenure dedicated to strengthening quality, innovation and accountability across the Nigerian University System
