Playboi Carti has appeared a few times in the news for his controversial behavior, including chasing down his pregnant girlfriend in 2023 and allegedly assaulting her.
The rapper reportedly got into a tussle in Utah earlier in the month, and his limousine driver, Carl Reynold, provided a detailed account of the event during his Antagonist Tour.
According to him, the singer attacked him and his girlfriend while he was transporting him and his entourage from the Waldorf Astoria in Park City to rehearsals.
The sad night reportedly began with Carti getting into an argument with his girlfriend over sex as he drove, and the rapper seemingly threatened to beat up both of them after he was forced to de-escalate the situation.
He eventually punched his girlfriend in the chest, and to prevent a repeat, Reynold pulled over to a safer location on the highway in Heber City.
According to TMZ, Reynold stated to the police that he also tried to get the head of security to get him out of the car and into another one, preferably the one with the head of security.
While Reynold pulled all the stops to get Carti and his girlfriend in separate vehicles, the rapper reportedly had a more sinister plan up his sleeve. As his girlfriend exited the vehicle, the driver recalled Carti hitting him out of the blue and leaving him with a bad, swollen jaw and a whiplash effect.
