Orphanages across Nigeria have reportedly praised the Director-General of the Department of State Services (DSS), Oluwatosin Ajayi, following the recruitment of 27 qualified orphans into the Service.
According to the claim, the beneficiaries were selected from diverse academic and professional backgrounds, with the initiative described as a significant opportunity for young Nigerians who grew up without parental care.
Supporters of the move say it demonstrates a commitment to inclusion and equal opportunity, while also providing qualified orphans with a pathway into public service.
The Department of State Services has yet to release a detailed public statement outlining the recruitment process or the beneficiaries.
