Pecohub A review of the public payments portal, Govspend, has shown that the Nigerian police under the leadership of its infamous Inspector-General, Kayode Egbetokun, spent N507million on the renovation of the IGP’s guest house in Maitama.
The payments for the renovation were made on the same day, December 7, 2023, in two tranches.
According to the payment details, on December 7, 2023, a sum of N153.4 million was paid to Beckybliss Nigeria Limited. The payment description read: “Being final payment to above named company for the extensive renovation and furnishing works of the guest house of the Inspector General of Police, Maitama.”
Another payment of N354.1 million was made on December 7, 2023, to Beckybliss Nigeria Limited. The payment description read: “Being payment to the above company for extensive renovation and furnishing works of the guest house of the IGP, Maitama, Abuja.”
