The Duchess of Sussex has responded to a woman who called her a flawless model with no wrinkles while serving food.
This happened during a trip by Meghan and Harry to Australia on 14 April, when Meghan Markle was serving food, during a solo stop at a centre headed by McAuley Community Services for Women.
The organisation supports women and children facing family violence, homelessness and other connected challenges.
She had put on an apron and served frittata to those at the centre. At some point, the Duchess of Sussex was introduced to a woman named Leah in a video shared by Hello! magazine.
Meghan had asked, “All right, Leah, how hungry are we?” Leah responded, “You look amazing. You look like a model,” to which Meghan responded, “Oh my gosh, that’s so generous.”
Leah went on to say, “You’ve got children, and you don’t have wrinkles. Nice glow as well.” Nodding, Meghan said warmly, “You are so nice.”
“It was nice to meet you,” Leah said before taking her dish, and Meghan responded the same.
The Duchess of Sussex had earlier spoken about accepting her natural skin, including her freckles, even though she was previously told that freckles are not a sign of beauty.
