Pecohub The queen of pop, Madonna, and her boyfriend, Akeem Morris, 28, have reportedly gone their separate ways after dating for less than a year.
The singer first stunned fans in July when she shared an intimate photo of her and Morris cuddling, seemingly confirming they were an item.
While Madonna has yet to speak on the state of their relationship, a source claims that the age gap difference between the couple caused them to call it quits on their romance.
A source shared the news of Madonna and Morris’ breakup with the Daily Mail, noting that the 38 years age gap between the couple played a part in the breakdown of their short relationship.
The “Like A Virgin” singer debuted her romance with Morris on Instagram as she shared a photo of the both of them in bed, alongside other shots of her on the fourth of July.
Months after posting their photo on Instagram, the duo were seen together in Italy, where Madonna celebrated her 66th birthday.
Regarding their separation, the source said, “Madonna ran into the same issue with this boy toy as she has with all of her recent men.”
“The age difference became an issue,” they noted. “They come from different time periods. Madonna felt Akeem had a wandering eye because he did.”
During their short time together, Madonna and Morris went on various trips; however, their romance reportedly hit a wall, when the traveling ceased.
“When the globe-trotting stopped, the excitement stopped as well,” the source said.
They also noted that Madonna and Morris’ breakup had zero drama and likely ended amicably.
“Ultimately, it had run [its] course, and there are no hard feelings or drama,” the source continued. “It was just time for them to go their separate ways.”
They added, “Akeem is now living on an island, and Madonna is obviously in her UES pad working on her biopic.”
Although Madonna and Morris’ romantic relationship began this year, he was previously featured in a Paper magazine shoot with the “Vogue” singer.
