Pecohub Diddy hopes to reignite his friendship with Donald Trump over their legal ordeals!
The rapper, born Sean John Combs, is reportedly keeping the president in mind if his sentencing goes south. His longtime legal rep claimed he would immediately join the MAGA team if the POTUS pardoned his crimes.
Diddy fell from grace last September following his arrest and indictment on scathing sex abuse allegations.
He is scheduled to be sentenced in October after successfully evading the racketeering and sex trafficking accusations in his highly publicized case.
Diddy’s longtime attorney, Mark Geragos, addressed the possible reunion between his client and Trump during a recent appearance on the “2 Angry Men” podcast. He noted the pair shared a type of bond after enduring the wrath of federal prosecutors.
Geragos explained that those who have been tried criminally typically dislike prosecutors because they feel tormented by their prosecution.
In Diddy and Trump’s case, the attorney believed they could bond over their legal ordeals.
The legal expert added that this bond would influence Diddy’s support for the MAGA agenda if Trump pardoned his crimes, per TMZ. Geragos’s claims about his client trading loyalty to the president for clemency come after Trump withdrew his stance on forgiving Diddy.
Trump initially shared that he was open to considering Diddy for a presidential pardon, noting that he would need to investigate the case to determine if he was qualified for clemency.
However, The Blast shared that he changed his tune days earlier during an interview.
The president explained that his friendship with Diddy suddenly ended when he first ran for office.
He claimed the rapper turned “hostile” and made some unflattering comments about his administration, noting these factors made it challenging to consider him for a pardon.
