Jennifer Lopez’s quest for a new home continues. The superstar singer and actress recently toured a stunning $22 million mansion in Beverly Hills, California.
She has been plagued by rumors of an imminent divorce from her husband, Ben Affleck, as the pair stopped living together and placed their marital home on the market for $68 million.
Jennifer Lopez is reportedly hopeful that a new home will afford her a “fresh start” after Ben Affleck snapped up a $20.5 million “bachelor pad” in the Pacific Palisades area of Los Angeles.
According to Page Six, the “Jenny From The Block” singer was seen touring a $22 million home in Beverly Hills, California.
The lavish property viewing comes at a pivotal moment in her life, as rumors swirl about an “imminent” divorce from her husband of two years, Ben Affleck.
Lopez wore a white button-up top tucked into wide-legged, striped trousers for the house hunt. She completed the look with sunglasses and hoop earrings, styling her hair in a low ponytail.
Lopez also inspected a $68 million Beverly Hills mansion that’s just 15 minutes away from her and Affleck’s marital home, which they are trying to sell.
The “On The Floor” singer completed the sale of her New York City apartment for $23 million. Reports claim that their lack of communication has hampered their divorce proceedings.
Sources revealed that the “Atlas” actress is upset with the way her divorce process from Affleck has slowed down, as the “Gone Girl” star is reportedly delaying filing for divorce in a bid to “protect” her from more embarrassment.
“She’s furious,” a source told Page Six. “He has humiliated her. He was the one who initiated getting back together.”
The insider went further to disclose that Affleck “humiliated her because she made a big deal that he’s the love of her life,” adding, “They just had two weddings two years ago. This is some kind of a record, they’re not young kids.”
The embattled couple dated and were engaged between 2002 and 2004 before rekindling their love story in July 2021, after Lopez split from her former fiancé, Alex Rodriguez, in April of that year.
According to Radar Online, a source close to Lopez described Affleck’s new property as the “final insult” to the “Let’s Get Loud” singer.
The pair were understood to have tried reigniting their love by writing letters to each other when they stayed on separate sides of the coast. At the time, Lopez stayed in the Hamptons, New York, while Affleck remained in Los Angeles.
However, trouble brewed when he missed out on her 55th birthday celebration and instead finalized the purchase of a $20.5 million mansion in the Pacific Palisades area of Los Angeles.
“Ben’s decision to move into his own home is the final insult. JLO had been holding onto hope that there could be a reconciliation if they were to spend some time apart, but this is like a stab in the heart,” a source told the news outlet.
