Pecohub Abia State Government has restated its support to the production crew members involved in the making of a movie, titled “Chronicles of Enyimba, a movie that will showcase Aba, the State’s commercial hub, to the world.
The Chronicles of Enyimba is a film solely dedicated to the history, growth, development, economic, socio-cultural and political realities of Aba, the commercial hub of Abia State.
It will be unveiled on November 14, 2025, by Governor Alex Otti.
Anyanwu Obilor, the mayor of Aba South Local Government Area, who spoke during a media interaction about the project at the prestigious Aba Town Hall, organised by the Aba Made Film Project in conjunction with the Abia State Ministry of Arts, Culture and Creative Economy, said that the film is coming at the right time to help tell the world of what Aba has gone through before the ongoing recovery process, led by Governor Alex Otti.
Obilor said that the world will appreciate the story of Aba when it is acquainted with what the city was before the ruins and the ongoing recovery.
He said that fixing the perseverance spirit that made Aba what it used to be in a story, together with the tough times the city has passed through, as well as the recovery strides of Governor Otti currently, will help to recover Aba for what it is.
Francis Ifeakandu, producer, Made in Aba Film Project, explained that they have concluded the pre-production meetings and now await the official flag off of the project, which will be done by Governor Alex Otti, the brand ambassador of the project.
According to him, the project will be a two-season movie with over 40 episodes and about 2000 cast.
He said that the movie would also feature new talents nurtured domestically to make it colourful.
“The team has been sitting, getting things ready over the years. From scripting to other necessary works. Thanks be to God that finally, we’re done with the pre-production stage and are now awaiting the production stage, which will start immediately after the flag off, by our ambassador, Governor Alex Otti.
“We’re ready and now await the signal from the Governor, who, since 2022, became the face of this project. The research done for this project was a thorough one.
“The story is all about the complete story, civilisation, metamorphosis and development of Aba, the Enyimba City, from the cradle.
