Mrs. Cecilia Ilodi, a female journalist who was recently assaulted by Uchenna Nnaji, the Enugu APC governor candidate, on Sunday, February 12, 2023 on Achina Street, Idaw-River Layout, Enugu, has been declared dead as of this morning.
Remember that on February 12, Mrs. Ilodi and the governor candidate had an argument on the aforementioned street, which led to the governor candidate ordering his men to beat Mrs. Ilodi for interfering with his convoy and using foul language at Mr. Uchenna NNaji.
According to information provided to our correspondent by Engr Kenneth Ilodi, the late Cecilia’s husband, his wife passed away earlier today at around 5:20 am in the Memphizz hospital in Rumuokoro, Port Harcourt, Rivers State.
According to Engr. Ilodi, her wife suffered numerous serious internal wounds that led Enugu medical professionals to recommend a hospital in New Delhi, India. However, because he was unable to pay for it, a friend suggested Memphizz Hospital in Port Harcourt, to which they transported the oxygen-depleted female journalist.
The doctors reported that Mrs. Ilodi had suffered from a variety of internal wounds, including abdominal aorta rupture (AOR), spleen rupture, and pneumothorax (an injury caused when a fractured bone punctures the lung and causes it to collapse).
“We made a request for financial assistance but none cared to come to our aide. The APC guber candidate, Nnaji brought her to Parklane but when we discovered that the news of her receiving treatment at the Parklane Hospital has been made public, we decided to lift her to an undisclosed hospital from where we then took her to Memphizz Hospital in Port Harcourt which was a hospital my friend who is also a doctor suggested.
“Nnaji dropped her at Parklane hospital and handed just N10,000 to the nurses on duty and since then, no one came asking how she was fairing. Let the vengeance be for the lord,” Engr. Kenneth cries uncontrollably.
