The Anambra State Government has launched a redesigned official website aimed at making it easier for residents, businesses, investors and visitors to access government services and information online.
The new website, available at anambrastate.gov.ng, brings government services, digital platforms, public information and citizen engagement tools together in one place.
Unlike the previous approach of using a government website mainly to publish news and announcements, the new platform is organised around the services and information users may need.
Residents can use the website to find government services, access identification services, register businesses and report issues.
The platform also links users to digital government tools such as SmartGov services and NORA, the state’s digital assistant. It provides channels for citizen feedback, complaints and grievance resolution, as well as access to Freedom of Information (FOI) requests.
Access to Budgets, Contracts and Government Records
One of the key features of the redesigned website is its Open Government section.
The section provides access to public documents and information, including state budgets, citizens’ budgets, budget implementation reports, audit reports, procurement plans, contract awards, open data and other government records.
The platform also provides information on how citizens can submit FOI requests.
Information for Businesses and Investors
The website includes a dedicated section for investors and businesses interested in Anambra.
It provides information on areas such as ease of doing business, public-private partnerships, manufacturing, technology, real estate, agriculture and tourism.
Visitors can also find information about Anambra’s people, culture and heritage.
The platform provides links to relevant government offices and other government systems, allowing users to navigate services across Ministries, Departments and Agencies (MDAs) from a single online gateway.
The launch forms part of the state government’s broader digital transformation programme.
The government said the platform is intended to go beyond informing citizens about government activities by helping them find services, access public information, engage government and explore business opportunities online.
The website is expected to be expanded and updated as more government services, information and digital tools are integrated into Anambra’s digital ecosystem.
