Lagos-based music executive and socialite Adepitan Yusuf, popularly known as Ijoba Danku, is currently recovering in a hospital following a violent encounter in the heart of Lagos.
The entertainment figure alleged that he was targeted and assaulted on Friday, April 17, 2026, due to his vocal support for President Bola Tinubu’s 2027 second-term ambition.
The incident reportedly took place near the Fela Shrine, a prominent nightlife hub in Ikeja. In a video shared from his hospital bed, a visibly shaken Danku explained that the confrontation was not a random act of street violence or robbery, but a calculated assault fueled by political grievances.
He claimed his attackers explicitly confronted him about his affiliation with the All Progressives Congress (APC) and his endorsement of the President before the situation escalated into a physical struggle.
“My name is Ijoba Danku. I was attacked yesterday, Friday, April 17, on the street of Fela Shrine, because I was supporting APC and President Bola Tinubu in 2027,” he stated in the emotional clip. Despite the intensity of the ordeal, the music boss reassured his followers that he is receiving adequate medical attention and is gradually stabilising.
