Pecohub Nigeria’s electoral body, Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) has unveiled the official timetable for the 2027 General Elections, detailing key dates for elections, party primaries, campaigns, and voter registration.
According to the schedule, the Presidential and National Assembly elections will take place on Saturday, February 20, 2027.
Two weeks later, on Saturday, March 6, 2027, voters will return to the polls for the Governorship and State House of Assembly elections.
The commission also announced the approved campaign windows for political parties and candidates:
Presidential & National Assembly Campaigns:
November 18, 2026 – February 19, 2027
Governorship & State Assembly Campaigns:
December 15, 2026 – March 5, 2027 (ending 24 hours before election day)
