Stefon Diggs supported Cardi B in the wake of her split from Offset.
Cardi, 32, spoke to Gayle King for a new CBS Mornings interview that aired Wednesday, Sept. 17 and not only revealed she’s expecting a baby with Diggs, 31, but spoke about how dating the NFL star marked a positive shift in her life after splitting from ex-husband Offset, 33.
The “Outside” rapper (whose real name is Belcalis Marlenis Almánzar) told King, 70, she was worried about getting back out into the dating scene, noting that “when you date you feel like you’re 16 again.”
Along with that feeling, Cardi said the experience makes you “remember what you dealt with when you were 16. So restarting again, yeah. And being open. And vulnerable.”
“One time he just told me. ‘Let me heal you. Give me a chance for me to heal you.’ And it’s like, ‘Okay,'” she continued of Diggs, whom she’s been linked to since October 2024.
Cardi filed for divorce from Offset for a second time in August 2024, the same month she announced she was pregnant with her third baby, daughter Blossom Belle, born in September 2024. The former couple also shares daughter Kulture Kiari, 7, and son Wave Set, 4.
Diggs is already dad to an 8-year-old daughter named Nova, born in October 2016.
On CBS Mornings, the Grammy winner shared her latest pregnancy news and revealed the child will arrive before her Little Miss Drama Tour kicks off in February. “I’m having a baby with my boyfriend, Stefon Diggs,” said Cardi.
“I’m happy,” added the “WAP” rapper, whose new album Am I the Drama? comes out Friday, Sept. 19. “I feel like I’m in a good space. I feel very strong, very powerful that I’m doing all this work — but I’m doing all this work while I’m creating a baby.”
She shared of the relationship, “Me and my man, we’re very supportive of each other. We’re like in the same space in our careers. I feel like we’re really great and one of the best at what we do. And me and him think the same way. ‘Yeah, you’re one of the greatest, but what’s next. What are we doing again? We have to do it again, all the time.'”
“We’re never, like, comfortable,” said Cardi. “We just have to keep doing it, and that’s just what we are.”
Am I the Drama? marks the superstar’s second full-length album. Through a pair of Spotify billboards in Miami and Los Angeles earlier this week, she announced the project will feature collaborations with Summer Walker, Selena Gomez, Kehlani, Lizzo, Cash Cobain, Tyla, Janet Jackson and Megan Thee Stallion.
