Lil Nas X reportedly got into a physical dispute with a police officer before he was hospitalized.
LAPD confirmed to Page Six that the “Industry Baby” rapper, 26, was booked with a misdemeanor charge of battery on a police officer Thursday. However, NBC has revealed new details about the altercation.
The outlet reported that Lil Nas X, whose real name is Montero Lamar Hill, “punched an officer twice in the face during the encounter,” according to a source.
Earlier, however, law enforcement shed some light on what transpired when they arrived onto the scene.
We were told officers were dispatched to Ventura Boulevard before 6 a.m. local time following reports of a “nude man walking in the street.”
Video obtained by TMZ showed Lil Nas X roaming the LA streets wearing only tighty-whities and boots.
Per an eyewitness, the “Montero” rapper allegedly muttered that he was going to a party and proceeded to put an orange traffic cone on his head. When cops arrived, Lil Nas X “charged” at them, per police.
LAPD told us the individual they took into custody was transported to a hospital “for a possible overdose.”
