In a chilling development in Enugu State, security operatives have discovered a human skull at a church construction site allegedly tied to a suspected ritualist, Prophet Chinedu Solomon Ezedike.

The shocking find was made during a joint security operation led by the Divisional Police Officer of Igbo-Eze South Local Government Area.

The building, known as the Synagogue, is reportedly owned by Ezedike, who has been linked to the tragic murder of four young siblings—a case that recently sent shockwaves through the local community and beyond. The brutal killing, which occurred weeks ago in the same Igbo-Eze South area, sparked widespread outrage and condemnation.

In response to the horrific incident, the government quickly ordered the demolition of the original site where the children were killed. However, as part of ongoing investigations, the authorities expanded their focus to include other properties connected to the controversial preacher.

The most recent breakthrough occurred at Abile Hill, Isi-Agu in Ibagwa-Aka. According to the Chairman of Igbo-Eze South LGA, Barrister Ferdinand Ukwueze, security officials were acting on credible intelligence when they raided the secluded site believed to be used for ritual activities.

Sharing details of the operation in a Facebook post on Sunday, June 9, Barr. Ukwueze stated:

“Two days ago, while combing areas reasonably suspected to harbor criminal activities, I joined the Divisional Police Officer of Igbo-Eze South and other security agents to inspect a site at Abile Hill. The site, currently under construction for what Prophet Chinedu Ezedike claims to be a Synagogue, turned out to be deeply suspicious. A human skull and a ritual staff were found at the location—evidence that supports the growing concerns and allegations surrounding Ezedike’s activities.”

The recovered items have been handed over to the Nigerian Police for forensic examination as part of the broader criminal investigation.

Barr. Ukwueze reaffirmed the administration’s resolve to root out crime from the region, stating:

“This discovery strengthens our commitment to eliminating all forms of criminality in Igbo-Eze South. Under the leadership of His Excellency, Governor Dr. Peter Ndubuisi Mbah, we are building a safe, just society where every citizen of Enugu State can pursue their dreams free from fear and criminal intimidation.”

He also expressed gratitude to the security agencies, including the Nigeria Police, Department of State Services (DSS), the Military, Igbo-Eze South Neighbourhood Watch, and Forest Guards for their coordinated efforts.

“A society declines when good people remain silent in the face of evil. Together, we must continue to protect our land,” he concluded.

As investigations continue, the community remains on high alert, with authorities vowing to uncover and dismantle all criminal hideouts linked to ritualistic activities in the state.
