It has been revealed that, after 30 years together, Manchester City coach Guardiola and fashion boss Serra will be parting ways.
Reports in Spain suggest that their relationship had become more of a friendship than marriage over recent years.
With that in mind, and with three grown-up children, Daily Mail claims that Guardiola will be removing his belongings from the luxurious home that he acquired alongside Serra in one of Barcelona’s most elite neighbourhoods.
He regularly returned to that base when enjoying breaks from his day job in England.
WHAT SPANISH JOURNALIST SAID
Respected Spanish journalist Lorena Vazquez – who operates as one of the Mamarazzis – has reported for El Periodico on Guardiola’s surprising uncoupling: “They weren’t expecting any journalists or media outlets would confirm this break-up but I can assure you they’re living apart and only a small handful of people knew about this.”
She went on to confirm that no third party was involved in the split, adding: “It’s been a carefully-considered decision the couple discussed over several months. They continue to have a cordial and affectionate relationship. No-one else is involved. There are no third parties. We are going to carry on seeing them together.”
Guardiola may now commit even more of his time to trophy-chasing duties at Manchester City.
They have avoided PSR punishments for 2023-24, but remain locked in an 115-charge Financial Fair Play (FFP) fight and need to avoid any distractions in bids for Premier League, Champions League and FA Cup glory.
