Chrissy Teigen has come under fire for what some critics have deemed to be an unsanitary and unsafe cooking video with her daughter Luna Stephens.
The former Sports Illustrated Swimsuit model, 38, shared a clip of her eldest child, 8, helping Chrissy cook jok moo, a Thai pork and rice porridge recipe.
Luna perched in a squat on the countertop as she helped her mom put chunks of meat into a large pot filled with porridge. The little girl sported a pink sweatshirt and matching sweatpants with bare feet, which some fans didn’t approve of.
“Is it me? But why are dirty feet on the counter? I love you guys, but that doesn’t seem sanitary,” one user commented.
“Feet should not be on counters or near a fire. Accidents happen. Why take a chance?” another person asked.
A third fan feared that Luna might fall over because she appeared to be in an unstable position. “Please don’t fall backwards Luna,” they wrote.
On the other hand, many fans didn’t seem to notice Luna’s feet on the countertop and simply enjoyed seeing her help her mom cook.
“So sweet seeing your little ones helping out in the kitchen! They’re learning from the best,” one user wrote. A second person added, “I love watching Luna help!”
One fan said they “loved” Luna’s squat, while another called it a “power stance.”
Chrissy, who shares Luna and kids Miles, Esti and Wren with husband John Legend, hasn’t responded to the backlash as of publication. However, her content online has been criticized in the past, and she hasn’t always stayed quiet. In June, fans questioned a video of Chrissy in the tub that John, 45, shared on his Instagram.
“What is happening here?” the “All of Me” crooner asked his wife, who was sitting naked in a tub filled with brownish-yellow water.
“I’m getting all of my body makeup off,” Chrissy replied as John panned in to show she was using his Loved01 skincare exfoliator.
